It is our good fortune that many local municipalities often overlook the placement of lost and found pet signs on street signs and other city property.
However, it is important to note that many of these municipalities have ordinances against hanging signs. In order to maintain a clean and orderly community, we should all do our part to comply with these ordinances.
If you’ve found your pet, that’s great! To celebrate, take down all those signs you put up. It’ll be a nice way to get some exercise too!
Are your signs looking a bit worse for wear? Don’t worry about it! Just make some new ones and swap out the old ones. Easy peasy!
Zip ties also known as cable ties are a non-destructive method to hang signage. Unlike tape, which can cause damage to city property by peeling paint off posts, zip ties or cable ties offer a more suitable alternative. Their primary advantage lies in the effortless removal process, requiring only a pair of scissors! Additionally, ensure the collection of any discarded items to maintain a clean environment. Keep a brown paper bag readily available in your vehicle to facilitate organized waste disposal.
Work as a team! One person drives while the other snips the cable ties! When you’re back in the car, put the used cable ties and flyers in the brown paper bag!
Let’s keep our communities clean, okay? We don’t want to make the city mad at us. It’ll really mess up all the hard work we do to reunite lost pets!
