Missouri Lost & Found Paws was founded in 2011. Our vision seemed so simple. We wanted to unite animal lovers for a common purpose, to reunite lost and found pets across the State of Missouri. Missouri is historically known for being known nationally as the land of puppy mill breeders. We felt that it would be incredible to place Missouri on the map as being a state that is devoted to reuniting pets.

In 2016, we noticed that the Hazelwood Police Department was posting found pets on their Facebook page. We had a vision: wouldn’t it be amazing if we could provide universal microchip scanners to police departments across the state?

We reached out to Hazelwood Police to ask if they would be interested in being the first recipient of our program. They said yes.

On October 27, 2016, we presented Hazelwood Police Department with their very own universal microchip scanner. We could not have done this without donations from our community.
